A return to the Slovak National Theatre in ‘Fidelio’

Maida Hundeling revisits her critically lauded portrayal of Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio, beginning this month at the Slovak National Theatre (Slovenské národné divadlo).

The opera is on stage throughout the season – dates are as follows –  21 September, 14 October, 18 November, 20 December (2016) and 18 May, 15 June (2017). Maestro János Kovács leads from the pit for these performances, with a stage direction by Martin Bendik and sets designed by Juraj Fábry. The cast also highlights Jan Vacík as Florestan and František Ďuriač as Don Fernando. Ján Ďurčo is Don Pizarro, Andrea Vizvári sings Marzelline, and Róbert Remeselník is Jaquino.
