Brünhilde role debut

This month, Maida Hundeling makes her highly anticipated role debut as Brünhilde in Wagner’s Die Walküre, the second installment of the epic Ring Cycle.

After having recently made her house debut at the Royal Opera House as Helmwige, one of the Valkyries, she graduates to the role of Brünhilde, which she will sing at the Fondazione Lirico Sinfonica Petruzzelli e Teatri di Bari on April 10, 12, 14 and 16.

The rest of the cast features Christian Elsner as Siegmund, Albert Dohmen as Hunding, Thomas Gazheli as Wotan, Michaela Kaune as Sieglinde and Michelle Breedt as Fricka. Stefan Anton Reck conducts.
