Maida Hundeling stars in the title role of ‘Aida’ at the Schlossfestspiele Regensburg

On July 15, Ms. Hundeling stars as the Ethiopian princess turned prisoner in Verdi’s Aida at the Schlossfestspiele Regensburg. Since 2009, the Thurn-und-Taxis-Schlossfestspiele has been ranked among the “Ten Most Beautiful Castle Festivals” in the world by the Viennese magazine Festspiele. The Festival attracts more than 30,000 visitors per year and is one of the largest open air festivals in Germany. Starring in the title role, she is joined by the soloists, chorus, and orchestra of the Staatsoper Prague. Ms. Hundeling has received tremendous acclaim as “a convincing Aida in her refinement and sensitivity” (Online Merker) for her portrayal of Aida last summer.
